Harzrat Abu Bakr once said, “people become enemy of something mostly when they don’t know it completely.”
The idea of “Gandhi” possibly suffered from the same problem. It’s the most common perception of the ordinary crowd to throw all the responsibility of India’s present situation on the politicians and leaders like Gandhi. They have made their own version of history which they have developed by strictly watching few outstanding masala movies or by listening street side historians.
The fact will prevail that it was Gandhi who sacrificed his entire life and died for India which most of us can’t even think of.
A nation is made by its people. Japan and Germany, which were completely destroyed in 1945, re-established themselves. Today they are among the most developed nations. China was a dust bowl in 1949 when it got independence. Today it’s the fastest growing economy in the world. Sadly, India which got it’s Independence almost at the same time, stand at the most awkward position possible.
Everyone in this nation shouts against corruption but still we are among the most corrupt nations in the world. Ironical…
